So lifes been a bit busy lately with police giving me trouble then immigration breathing down my neck so in between stressing and pulling out my hair I have finally put the D1SL Mobara feature together, sorry for lack of updates!
Everyone knows there is more to drifting then just blazing tyres but no one shows it, so in this video I wanted to show what goes on behind all the tyre smoke. The video starts off slow and warm but it doesn’t take too long before we get back to the throttle smashing tyre blazing. Big thanks go out to Andy and Emily from PowerVehicles.com for karting my butt around and letting me crash at there place, much love.
Part II will be just be a quick run down of the final tandem runs but it was raining so hard it made for some slow and non-eventfil action, hence why its getting its own video as to not take away from Part 1.
Got a new sticker, think its quite fitting for the way I treat my car on track.
Got a drift day at Honjo circuit this Saturday running in expert class with the big boys, little worried but I got assured I should be fine. Will be doing all incar camera footage all day so hopefully there will be some good door to door battles.
Too much tyre stretch with stiff side wall Avdan Neova’s can leave you with this outcome. With each tire costing a pretty penny its such a same to see the insides get eaten out by your wheels rendering the once useful 90% tread now useless.
My JZX90 is running out of Shaken soon so it means I can no longer driver it around on the road. So it was time to get another car for my daily tasks and just tow the JZX90 around on Hoshino’s truck or rock slash plates (3-5 day temporary number plates) when I need to get it to the track.
I picked this beauty up today off yahoo auctions, packed with 64 horses under the bonnet and a few minor mods.
Excuse the low quality yahoo auction pictures.
I suppose if your in Japan right now its almost mandatory to post a picture of some sort to do to with Sakura (cherry blossom). It really is a beautiful time in Japan but I just prefer the colder months of the year. These were just some quick phone snaps, went to a nice park last night with the misses and took some proper photos so I will post them up later in Part II.
Its the start of an insane weekend and to kick it off is the heart stopping breeze that brushes across you skin instantly waking you up from your slumber. Its a weekend like no other, its Ebisu Drift Matsuri! Three events a year held at the world famous Ebisu circuit over the course of 2 days, ohhh did I forget to mention 2 days 32 hours non stop drifting from sunrise to sunset. Ebisu is scattered with more tracks in one location then you could ever dream of and filled with hundreds of people all with the same passion for drifting.
There is no event on this earth that can compare to the pure insanity that happens at a Drift Matsuri, the countless crashes and cars rolling around on their roofs, the people you meet and friends you make all come together to make one event you will never forget.
